you made it
Every module done. That's the whole journey — laptop to live website.
Take a second to let that land. You started not knowing what a terminal was, and you finished having built something and put it on the internet. The skill you picked up isn't a list of commands — it's a way of working: describe what you want, look at what comes back, adjust, save. That loop works for the next thing, and the thing after that.
good next moves
- Build the thing you actually want. The best project is one you care about — a page for a hobby, a little tool for a friend, a tip jar. Motivation carries you further than any tutorial. If you'd like to build a small tool for your own computer, there's an optional bonus module on exactly that.
- Ask your assistant to teach as it goes. "Explain each step like I'm new." You'll pick up more from reading along than from any course.
- Keep the reference pages handy. The glossary and cheat sheet are there for whenever a word or command slips your mind. Nobody memorises this stuff — they look it up.
- Repeat the loop, smaller and faster. Each project teaches you something the last one didn't. You don't need a plan — you need a next small step.
